At ASCD, I led a strategic initiative to enhance the quality and consistency of professional learning courses on the Witsby platform. With over 60 existing courses and a growing user base, we needed a sustainable system for content improvement, quality assurance, and learner feedback. I designed and implemented a scalable process that aligned with adult learning theory, prioritized learner engagement, and embedded continuous improvement into our course lifecycle.

•Established a quality assurance (QA) system tailored to our team’s workflow.
•Designed and launched a feedback process using end-of-course surveys to inform future updates

Course Enhancement Strategy
Created a structured approach to revising courses, focusing on clarity, interactivity, and application of adult learning principles.
• Developed templates and design standards in Articulate Rise and Storyline to streamline course updates.
• Collaborated with team members to ensure content consistency and instructional integrity across modules.
Quality Assurance System
Designed a QA checklist and review process that ensured each course met our instructional and accessibility standards before publication.
Integrated QA reviews into the course production timeline, making it a core part of our team’s workflow.
Tracked and monitored course status and feedback in a centralized system for easy collaboration and transparency.
End-of-Course Feedback Integration
Partnered with stakeholders to design a standardized learner feedback survey embedded into every course.
Built a process for analyzing survey results quarterly to inform course enhancements and updates.
Used learner insights to continuously refine content, format, and user experience.

Reflection

I’m proud of the impact this work has had on our team’s workflow and, more importantly, the learning experience for educators using our platform.
