The AI meeting has gone quiet. Your colleagues worry that “working smarter” could mean working themselves out of a job. You're facilitating as a peer. Can you make room for honest concerns and agree on a small, bounded experiment?
My approach
I start with learning objectives and learner insights. The goal is a meaningful change in practice, with technology chosen to support it.
I build experiences around context, decisions, feedback, and opportunities to try again. Accessibility belongs in the design process.
I create reusable structures and clear review steps, then demonstrate and coach so colleagues can apply the approach themselves.
The person behind the process
I'm a Learning Experience Architect with roots in the classroom and a focus on the whole learning ecosystem: the experience, the technology, and the workflows that bring it to life. I currently serve as Lead Instructional Designer at ISTE+ASCD.
My work brings together learning design, technology, and practical problem-solving. I create digital learning products, develop AI-assisted workflows, and help colleagues build confidence using them.
I also bring instructional coaching experience and higher education consulting, supporting stakeholders with instructional design for online learning.
I'm interested in opportunities where I can lead learning design and help teams adopt AI thoughtfully, with clear boundaries and human judgment.
